- Chromium Vanadium steel confirming to grade 50 Cr - 4V2 of IS 4367 - 1967
- Manganese Vanadium High Strength weldable alloy steel silicon Manganese steel confirming to grade 55 si-7 of IS: 3431 - 1982.
For Grade 2
Confirming to Grade Fe 410 - S of IS: 226 - 1975 or Grade Fe 410 - WA or Fe 410 - WB of IS 2062 - 1984, Weldable structural steel (IIIrd Division) Elongation 23%, Tensile Strength - 55Kg/mm2
Yield strength for thickness - 24-S-0.055% P-0.055, Carbon-0.20% to 0.25% Max.
Hardness of Cutting Edged 45 to 48 HRC or 600 EHN (As per IS: 1586 - 1960)
Method of Testing of Hardness of Cutting Edged Rockwell Hardness Test (B and C Scales)
Materials of Hand Facing Base Layer by 2B of L and T and final layer. By L and T Chrom Carb XHD 6715, 6006N, Cobalt base.
Hard Facing Both side - Front side hardness - 500 to 600 BHN and Back Side - 300 BHN.
Stelitting By Gas Process By Non-Ferrous cobalt base. Gas alloy, Products Having hardness of 600 BHN.
Advantage/Purpose of Both Side Hard Facing in Knives
- Self Sharpening.
- Better cane preparation in case of High fiber in cane also
- Trouble free cane cutting without any breakage of knives (This guarantee does not cover the breakage occurred due to foreign materials)
